 The saying if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it’s probably a duck; definitely applies to Margie when it comes to how she got started with fitness training. Though she was very athletic in high school, it wasn’t until around 12 years ago that Margie pursued her true calling of being a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Anyone who has taken a class with Margie, worked out to her video, or had the elite opportunity to be personally trained by her, will all say that they cannot imagine Margie in any other line of work.
After regularly attending kickboxing classes at a local Texas gym, she was told that the gym did not have a replacement for a lost instructor. So, instead of getting upset or finding something else to substitute for her kickboxing regimen, her persistent, upbeat nature kicked in and voila, a new instructor was born.
Born out of necessity, pursued out of love, Margie went on to get certified through Coopers Institute as a personal trainer and also ACE and AFAA certified specializing in Kickboxing, Boot Camp, and personal training. Twelve years later Margie is going strong with a huge following through Spectrum Athletic Clubs where she trains and teaches full-time.
F2M2 (Fitting N Fitness with Margie Massey) has kicked into high gear! Margie now encourages people around the world to fit in fitness with her motivating workout DVD.
On a personal note Margie is happily married to her high school sweetheart. Together, they have two wonderful kids, Tayler and Parker. |
